Day 2 Singapore:

We went to the zoo today and the Night Safari tonight. It was so quick and easy to jump on the MRT (underground train) and then on a bus to get to the zoo. Charlotte took heaps of photos of course on her iPod too. I hired a little cart for Charlotte to ride in while at the zoo, so she didn't have to walk all day, so she had plenty of energy to get around. We had some dinner before the Night Safari opened and Charlotte has found a few things that she likes eating here now. She loved the fish donuts from KFC tonight.

Charlotte surprised us all while watching the Animal Friends show at the zoo. They asked for some child volunteers and we convinced Charlotte to go up and there were four other kids too. When asked where she was from Charlotte said she was from Bullsbrook, which totally confused the lady. They had a hula hoop competition first and Charlotte won by miles and was still doing her hoola hoop when the lady said she won. She got a Frisbee for a prize. Then they had to hold the hula hoops on their sides off the ground while the dog jumped through each one. Charlotte did really well and must have felt very brave to get on the stage, as she is normally too scared to do it.

The night safari was next door to the zoo so we walked there and got there just before it opened.

We watched the show first, which was really good and then went on the tram that takes you around the whole park, as Charlotte was very sleepy by then. Unfortunately Charlotte fell asleep about ten minutes into the tram ride, she was exhausted.
