wow - back to school today

It's been a busy couple of weeks since returning home from our make-a-wish holiday.  Charlotte is doing really well in relation to her energy and generally feeling good.  Her appetite has also returned just enough to keep us from going mental!  She is also off the laxatives too which she is very happy about.

So, the last few weeks have been all about fun and playing... mostly with her cousin Trevar when she is with me.   She enjoyed seeing her other cousin Karisha too.  It was great to see her give big warm hugs and cuddle up to her.

Activities - well, her number one enjoyable activity remains...shopping!  We barely walk through a shopping centre door before I'm pulled into a shoe shop, clothes shop, chemist (for perfumes and moisturizers!) toy shop...well, any shop.

It's also been bloody hot so the pool has been nice in the afternoons and evenings.  With the solar blanket its perfect for charlotte.    We've also been to the movies, mini golf, bowling, the paint-your-own pottery shop and done heaps of crafts at home.

The only down side (which has an upside for charlotte) is that she's not taking her chemo drug at the moment.  her blood counts are too low which means the chemo is actually making her sick.  Charlotte is enjoying the moment though because she has not needed any medication now for a few days.  Unfortunately we also have to go to PMH for blood tests twice a week while she is not taking the chemo drug.  Luckily, we took her cousin Trevar with us on Friday so Charlotte got to show him around and also how brave she is with the thumb pricks.

Well, here's a few photos from our holiday and the last couple of weeks.  I'll try to keep this updated more frequently from now on.

I cant believe she starts YEAR  1 TODAY!!

I love my charlotte :)
