Charlotte has had a really good weekend. She saw Fairy Queen Caroline at the Bullsbrook Library on Saturday and got to catch up with her friend, Jessica, there. Some stories, singing, dancing and craft. Then from there to her friend, Georgia's, birthday party. She had a really good time and has seven tattoos now - a giraffe, frog, panda, Mickey mouse, kitty, dolphins with a heart and a seahorse. The air brush tattooist was at the party and I think Charlotte is addicted now. Charlotte ate a few party food things and even had a couple of little slushies. Her blood sugar was only up a tiny bit, so that was a good sign. Then home and off to the pub for dinner, at Charlotte's request. She ended up eating some of my dinner along with her dinner. It doesn't happen very often that someone is allowed near my food, so she was very lucky!
Sunday we met Jamie at the movies to watch My Little Pony. Jamie's favourite sort of movie! Charlotte enjoyed the movie and eating most of the popcorn. She has been doing lots of her schoolwork in the car and at home. Nobody has asked her to do it either, she just loves to colour in, draw and do her counting and writing.
Charlotte's blood sugar levels are going well now. we only seem to be having to do insulin once out of a whole day now. She is a lot happier about that. And on Wednesday the steroids should be completely stopped, so less tablets as well. I'm taking her to a physio on Tuesday to start getting her muscles moving better and strengthen her back, so she is able to play more and start doing what she usually does again.
