Hope you all had a great Christmas Day yesterday and are catching up on some rest today.
Charlotte was with Kevin over the weekend and had a play with her friend, Jessica. They had lots of fun together. She still isn't eating properly, unfortunately. Kevin dropped her off to me on Sunday night. We finally had a day at home on Monday.
On Monday morning Charlotte had a sore right ear and inside her head behind her right ear. I was determined that we were not going to hospital for Christmas, so checked with PMH at lunchtime if I could just give her some paracetemol and see if the pain goes away. This was ok and the pain did go away once she took the paracetemol. I convinced her to have a sleep in the afternoon, so she could watch the Christmas Carols on tv later that night. The rest helped her, as she looked so much better after. She had her friend, Georgia, over for a quick play in the morning and then her friend, Sarah, came over in the afternoon for a quick play. She loved playing with her friends again and looked so happy. At about 5.30pm the pain came back and PMH again said it was ok to give the paracetemol. We watched the Christmas Carols on tv and Charlotte went off to bed very excited about Santa coming overnight.
Charlotte woke up at my house on Christmas Day and even let us sleep in until about 7am, thanks to the carols on tv. She was very excited, as Santa had filled her Christmas stocking with pretty hair flowers and moisturiser, soap, etc. She got heaps of presents and Santa had left her a handwritten note to thank her for the carrot for Rudolph and the milk for his thirsty journey. He even replied to her letter on her ipod. She was very happy and we had a quick play with her new toys and off to Grandma and Grandpa's. Unfortunately, Charlotte is still not eating properly, so lunch wasn't very exciting for her, even though there were lots of her favourites. But she was very excited to open a new trampoline from Grandma and Grandpa and all of her other presents from her aunties and uncles. She loved catching up with her two little cousins too and we all liked lazing around in the pool after. We dropped in to see some of Jamie's family briefly and enjoyed catching up with them. Then we had to get her back to Kevin, though, so couldn't stay long unfortunately. She was pretty tired when we dropped her off to Kevin and fell asleep on the way there, but her sore ear and sore head had gone, so that was good.
So Charlotte managed to stay away from PMH for Christmas and she had a great time!

I think her cousin, Kevin, was so excited about his trampoline he couldn't wait to jump on it, so had to jump on it inside the box still. Charlotte thought that was pretty funny too.
