We wont be sticking around for the show as she will be exhausted.
Today was spent mainly in the hospitals for poor charlotte. We went to PMH first for the weekly check. Had blood tests and saw the doc. Doc said red blood count was now too low, but as she only has 2 more radiation sessions left they would not be booking her in for a transfusion.. Phew.
Then he said some other reading was REALLY low. Had something to do with the bone marrow, and so we would not give charlotte the chemo drug until it krept up to normal again. Following that, he then ordered another blood test to check the results of the first.
It was extremely busy in PMH today, so we went off for the radiation at SCGH, had some lunch and returned to PMH. The short story - the blood tests came back good :) So, no change in chemo and we now reduce her steroids to 2mg a day (down from 4). Who knows, may be one more week and no steroids?? I have a feeling they will cut it to 1 first though :( . Can't wait to get her off those drugs..
The insulin is still being given at a high dose though so I hope this settles quickly..
well, just 2 more treatments.. have been thinking lots about a holiday. looks like singapore is a likely event.. :D
