another week passes quickly

We are in the middle of the school holidays here in oz.  Charlotte has had a full agenda between Rachel and I with lots of visits and play dates with her friends.  As usual, I struggle to remember what we have done.. but here are some highlights..

Last wednesday we unfortunately had to go in to PMH for Charlotte's bimonthly MRI.  Charlotte was understandably worried as the day approached.  She had been to the zoo with rachel prior to going to the hospital and had a new panda to help calm her down.

We played and ran around in the waiting room to keep her mind off the process to come and had a great time playing 'it' and pretending she was a floppy puppet.

Then the time came for her to have her canula put in which was actually fairly quick and without incident - but Charlotte did not enjoy the experience of course and let everyone know about it.

She is very good in the MRI, not moving a muscle for about 45 mins.  She was proud of herself when she helped the nurse remove the canula at the end.  Then we went to Sienna's for her favourite Italian food as a treat.

Thursday we had her school disco where she didn't stop dancing :)

Friday night we went to Circus Joseph Ashton with some of her school friends.  She loved it.. especially the clown :).  It was a great family show and worth the price of admission.  It made for a very late night but that didn't stop her getting up early the next day.

Saturday we went ice skating but charlotte got cold pretty quickly.. she enjoyed it though so i can see we will do it again.

On Sunday we went to a birthday party for her school friend at a play centre.   We stayed for about an hour after it finished as she wanted to do some colouring in and play some more.

Sunday was also Nana's birthday so when we got home we threw streamers around the house and covered Nana in silly string.  Then we played pass the parcel and finally later that night we went to Hogs Breath where charlotte chowed down on garlic prawns and curly fries :)

Finally, we slept outside that night in the tent.  Charlotte was snuggly warm all night and enjoyed the experience. Oh, and then in the morning Nana brought over some old bugles which Charlotte and Trevar had a.. blast!

Tomorrow we should find out Charlotte's results from the MRI...
