Charlotte woke up at 5:45am very excited. We had a quick shower and hit the road at 6:30am when Mummy and Jamie arrived. The day before we packed our bags.. Charlotte’s suitcase was very light, yet it had about 5 dresses, 7 shirts, leggings, 4 pairs of shorts, multiple bathers, towels… the kitchen sink… Oh, and her carry on bag contained about 20 colouring books :)
The plane ride was pretty good. Charlotte slept about 1 hr toward the end. Then on the descent we went through a storm cloud that shook everyone! Charlotte got very nervous but that was the only shake we had.
We had to wait for about an hour for the bus and then about an hour journey to our hotel. Finally we got here, but we were now running late for the next bus to take us to the ‘outback spectacular’.
Charlotte and I had to get out of the lift to let some people out on the 3rd floor and we got stuck when the lift door shut quickly! We waited and waited for mummy to come back down with the key so we could get to our room – on the 59th floor!! Mummy would have been stressing because we were so late anyway!
It’s an amazing self-contained apartment looking over the beach (and everything else –I think my nose bleeds at this height!).
Anyway, we went off to the show which was very clever. The horses and dogs were obviously well trained and charlotte was amazed as horses, dogs, cars, 4 wheelers and even a helicopter whizzed around the stage.
She was so excited to get back to our room and spent the next hour or so running around unpacking everything. She finally went to bed about 11:45pm!
